The lands have a history spanning over 1000 years. We’ll be saying ‘I Do’ in the oldest standing building there, the Castle House. The original owners of the land and original house arrived in England from Normandy with William the Conqueror in 1066. It has passed hands many times since between various families and is now under the care of a preservation trust. If you’re a film buff, you may recognise parts of the house as they were used in the film, ‘Chocolat.’

It’s about a 2 hour drive from Heathrow and is really quite simple. Just take the M25 counter-clockwise (South) to the M3 junction. Come off there and head West along the M3 until Junction 8, where you come off and take the A303 – you can see Stonehenge from this route! – keep following the A303 until you get to the roundabout for the A3088 and take that. Follow the A3088 all the way to a traffic controlled roundabout opposite Yeovil airfield and turn left onto Bunford Lane. Head a short distance to another roundabout and turn left onto Bluebell Road to the next roundabout and turn left again – follow this road for a short while until you see the sign for Brympton House.

By Train

First, you’ll have to get to Paddington Station via the London Underground. From there, you get a direct train to Yeovil and can then get a taxi the rest of the way.
